Should You Advertise on TikTok?

Okay, so now that you have a business and you may already have a marketing campaign that’s working on Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Google, or other marketing platforms out there, the big question is…should you advertise on TikTok? TikTok advertising looks promising and more and more business owners are already there advertising. I get it, you should be where your audience is at and where your competitors are already enjoying the success that TikTok brings to their business. In this blog, we break down the idea and question of whether you should advertise on TikTok or not. Without further-a-do, let’s dive into it.

TikTok Is Up-and-Coming

I agree, TikTok is like Facebook in the early 2000s. TikTok is gaining millions of users every year and there is no surprise that it’s one of the most enticing platforms for business owners. But the question of whether you should advertise in it or not lies within your product or service. TikTok is for Millennials and Generation Z but it may be a place for Generation X in the future. But the platform, for now, is crowded by younger people so if your target audience is say, Baby Boomers, TikTok may not be a suitable platform to advertise. Hence, if your target audience is older, Facebook and Youtube are the two platforms to consider. When it comes to advertising, don’t just rely on trending social media platforms, instead, stick to the ones that are already working and where your target audience is at.

Bottom Line

The bottom line is, TikTok is a great place to advertise if your target audience is more on the younger side (Millennials and Generation Z). I could be wrong on this in the next 5 years or so. More diverse people could be on this platform in the next couple of years. What are your thoughts on TikTok? Are you thinking of advertising on this platform or are you already on it? Are you advertising on other platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, etc.? If so, let us know in the comments section below!
